The SweetBeats are an 8-piece Rocksteady
dance band, blending Ska, Reggae, Bluebeat,
Soul and a splash of Dub to create the soulful
sound of mid-sixties Jamaica. The upbeat
melodies, chipper horn arrangements and
delicious harmony vocals meld together to
make an enchanting and very danceable
combination.
Lively, colourful and fronted by the sparkling
vocals of Saffron Paffron, with sweet
harmonies, super cool sax and slidehorn and
feet moving rhythms, the SweetBeats have
rocked major festivals such as Glastonbury,
The Lovebox, Solfest, Waterford’s Spraoi and
Lost Vaguenessclub nights.
With a selection of original songs, classics and
rare-grooves, The SweetBeats promise to get
