Greetings!
Basic information about me.
Hello, fellow adventurers in Dissconnected!
What I can offer Diss and district:-
- knowledge about local wildlife and heritage and how to communicate it through words, images and exhibitions;
-
information management e.g. databases, catalogues;
-
copy-writing and proof-reading and other editorial skills;
-
education development work;
-
languages, particularly French.
My favourite things include:- Handel's Oboe Concertos, The New Tango Orquesta, black chocolate and tango dancing.
My heroes include:- Phillip Pullman, Gregory Bateson, Thomas Paine and John Wymer.
My own web creation:- Redgrave History Group website.
What I like about Diss:- friends who live there.
What changes I would like to see in Diss:-
-
removal of all parking charges to help make town more convivial and useful; removal of Tesco and Morrison supermarkets on grounds of outsize, arrogant ghastliness and toxic effect on small shops;
-
restoration of lime trees along Madgett's Walk beside the Mere.
How I am trying to live a more sustainable life: finding virtue in material poverty.
What I want for a better future: electoral reform, so our votes count equally towards electing a representative of our choice.
Thanks for reading my story!
