A raw tale set in border country between the US and Mexico. Tommy Lee-Jones plays a ranch hand fulfilling a promise to return his dead friend to his village in Mexico, with an unwilling (but excellent) Barry Pepper literally in tow. Cruel and comic (but not violent).
Winner of best actor and screenplay at Cannes.
