Not a history and not particularly violent, this film by the Canadian maestro (his Eastern Promises
has just been released) is about justice, identity and the challenge of
family. A small town father accidentally becomes a hero and the family
is threatened.
A
thriller of brilliant wit, great style and perfect pacing which marries
pulp watchability to larger concerns, without skipping a beat.
