Minutes Of DISS CONNECTED Meeting

1) Minutes of 29 Feb were reviewed and accepted

2) Minutes of 29 March Web-site Usability Meeting reviewed and accepted. Following the meeting Joerg revised the site. The revised web-site was reviewed and difficulties uploading photos and other information was noted.
Action GA: to speak to Joerg about making upload easier.
Action: meeting of sub-group to review web-site again (Gary, Tim, Jon)  Sunday 27 April 1400

3) Organisational Matters: GA introduced the draft constitution of DISS Connected initially to function as an unincorporated association. This will enable the opening of a bank account. MB mentioned that SN have two new development officers who can help with sorting the organisation matters out .
Action MB: to put them in contact with GA
Action: GA to number the paragraphs of the constitution
Current Officers:  JC Treasurer,  GA Coordinator,
Bank:  GA proposed to use Norwich and Peterborough BS Agreed, Signatories JC, SW, GD, GA,

4) Review of Action Plan: this will be updated meeting to meeting.
Action: ML and SW to continue building the venues and events data-base.
Launch event 12 July
Action SG: to continue building the village data-base
Action: GA & GD to create a communication to send to PCs  by 8 May.

5) Food Festival:   going ahead with £3000 funding  from Diss Community Partnership. Money also applied for from Cittaslow Community Chest.   GD and wife doing the marketing and design.  In order to be clear with the supermarkets in the town it was agreed that participants must be small independent food producers and retailers
11-1800 Young Peoples Gig 19 July  Agreed to market the two events together.
12 July Farmers' Market will be a kick-off event.
Diss directory could be produced and distributed by one of the local papers: entries + ads + recipes
Agreed: to postpone the Exchange project and  focus on getting the site going meanwhile making a link to freecycle.

Web-site will be more active from 8 May so all uploaded events should run from there

GA proposed a regular Thursdays PM Diss-Connected optional work time at Fair Green.  2-6pm
