Lindsay House Restaurant

by Sally Wilson last modified 07-July-2008 17:57

A small, owner-run restaurant with the emphasis on good food, wine and a light informal atmosphere. Regional and international influences using the best quality local produce.

Our menus change to reflect seasonality and availability - and we are always keen to hear from local producers, no matter how small, who care about the food they raise or grow.

Paul and Sue are Suffolk born and bred.  Paul trained as a chef in Norwich in the late sixties, and in turn taught son Chris, who went on to work at 'The Ivy' in London.  Together, the family opened Lindsay House in 2005, with the aim of creating a menu which combines both modern and traditional cooking methods with the best of local ingredients.

In East Anglia we have a wealth of well-raised meat, together with a good coastline, smokeries, fresh fruit and herb growers and abundant hedgerows - the locally-brewed beer's good too!

Lindsay House is open from Tuesday to Saturday evening and for lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We always cook a traditional roast of locally reared beef on Sundays (£7.95) - a popular family event!
