Other Help files on the Internet

DissConnected.Net is built on Plone (a leading open source content management system) by a large community of volunteers. There are many other Plone systems running, and so many other help files. For all of these, the design of the site is different (menus in different places) but most things are the same. Here are some of the most useful:

• The QuickStart set of tutorials on the LearnPlone website. Good general introduction for beginners.
  
• The official Plone 2.5 User Manual. This is very comprehensive, with some basic tutorials for beginners and more advanced ones for managers and developers. It also has online chat rooms and forums where you can get help.
  
• The ElevateIT site has a set of instructional videos. They are very clear, but only some of the material is for beginners and ordinary users, rather than managers.
